After growing up on the Pennock farm west of Elnora, I attended Red Deer College and the University of Calgary...then couldn't wait to move back to a small town! In 1995, Corey and I were married in our hometown of Elnora, rented our first home on Trochu Avenue, and I began my teaching career at Delburne Centralized School.  Seven years later, I felt extremely fortunate when my former junior high school principal, Mr. Andruski, accepted a job-share proposal that Tricia Simpson and I made to teach a combined 4/5 class at Trochu Valley School.  This allowed us each to spend half the week at home with our younger children, and also allowed me to begin teaching at Troval the same year that my oldest child began kindergarten here in town. It is a special treat to be able to go to work at the same place where your children are each day, especially in a beautiful, brand new school - I love it! For eleven years, I have enjoyed teaching many groups of awesome students with a friend I am thankful every day for, Mrs. Stankievech.

When I am not at school, I love to support my three children, Cooper, Chloe and Maille, in whatever sport or activity each new season brings. I also like to squeeze in some time to read, minimize, walk with my husband, and laugh with our families and friends.
