I am a proud Albertan born and raised in the city of Calgary. I attended Mount Royal College and the University of Calgary where I studied Zoology and Ecology. My teaching degree was completed at the University of Lethbridge.

I taught for two years in Pincher Creek before moving to Yellowknife, NWT. After three years of teaching in the north, I returned to Alberta and taught for seven years in St. Paul, Alberta. This fall will be the start of my 12th year of teaching at Trochu Valley School.

My wife Denise and I live in Innisfail with our dog, Nelo. We enjoy cycling, camping and paddleboarding in the summers. During the winter, I can often be found tinkering in the workshop on various wood projects.
